The Product

A wizard built on 15 years of MFD experience.

Every proposal starts with the same core questions — client goals, risk profile, investment horizon, existing portfolio. MFDTools captures these once, then uses a curated library of pre-built templates to generate the narrative sections, executive summary, and standard recommendations you'd typically type by hand.

You stay in control. The wizard suggests; you approve, edit, or replace. The output is a professional PDF ready for the client meeting — with your firm's branding on every page.

Fully deterministic, no black-box. Every calculation, every template variable, and every disclaimer is auditable. What you configure is what you get — no surprises, no hallucinations, no regulatory grey area.

Common questions

Questions about Client Proposals

Is template-generated content compliant with SEBI / AMFI regulations?
Yes. Templates are curated by practicing MFDs and include standard compliance language — market-risk warnings, past-performance disclaimers, and scheme-related notices. All numeric calculations, fund recommendations, and compliance disclaimers are deterministic and rule-based. The final proposal is signed and vetted by you (the ARN-registered advisor), so regulatory accountability remains with you as required.
How large is the template library?
Investment proposals use 25+ narrative templates across common client scenarios (first-time investor, retirement-focused, goal-based, wealth accumulation, etc.). Insurance and Retirement proposals each have 15+ templates. Templates are refreshed quarterly based on advisor feedback. Enterprise contracts include custom template libraries built specifically for your firm.
Can I edit the generated text before finalizing?
Yes — every populated section has an "Edit" button. You can revise, replace, or completely rewrite any narrative section. Templates are a starting point, not a final authority. Many advisors use templates as a foundation and customize based on their relationship with the specific client.
Do proposals include specific fund recommendations?
Fund recommendations are optional and controlled by you. The wizard generates category-level allocation (e.g., "60% equity, 40% debt"), but specific fund names are added manually by you post-wizard, based on your firm's research and client-specific risk profile. This keeps you as the final decision-maker for regulated recommendations.
Can I use my own proposal template design?
Yes on Enterprise plans. Custom PDF templates are built to match your firm's existing proposal format, including custom cover pages, chart styles, section ordering, and compliance blocks. Free and Pro tiers use the standard MFDTools template with your firm branding.
Are proposals stored on your servers?
Client data used to generate proposals never leaves your browser. Only the final PDF metadata (proposal number, date, client name, advisor) is stored in your account for retrieval purposes. Actual client financial details, calculations, and PDF content stay client-side. On Enterprise contracts, we can configure zero-server-storage mode for organizations with strict data residency requirements.
What if I only need investment proposals, not insurance?
Use only the types relevant to your practice. All four proposal types (Investment, Insurance, Retirement, Custom) are included at no additional cost in the Pro tier. Custom proposals require Enterprise setup for template customization.

Ready to reclaim 100 hours per year?

Every proposal you generate saves ~90 minutes. Over a year of client work, that's over 100 hours reclaimed for actual relationship building.
